Dr. Jordan Briggs is a 2020 graduate from the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine and also received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science from NCSU in 2012. She is originally from Kernersville, NC, but between her undergraduate education and veterinary school, spent two years working for a non-profit organization in Kenya at an all-girl’s high school. During her free time abroad, she volunteered with a local veterinarian who specialized in working equid healthcare, which fostered her love of donkeys. She also gained an interest in food animal medicine from being face-to-face with food insecurity and working with farmers with limited resources. Throughout veterinary school, she pursued extra-curricular activities that involved her interests including field surgery, ophthalmology, equine medicine, equine dentistry, and small ruminant husbandry and preventative care. One of her main career goals is to provide her clients with the information they need to make the best decisions for their animals. Dr. Briggs lives with her husband, Dustin, her son, Hatton, dog named Penny, and cat named Binx. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and reading.
